Pakistan is reeling from catastrophic monsoon rains that have left at least 117 people dead in just 24 hours, pushing the nationwide death toll past 320 since the āunusualā summer downpours began. The mountainous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bore the brunt, losing 110 lives, while flash floods in Buner killed 56 alone. Torrential rains have triggered landslides, cloudbursts, and deadly flash floods across northern Pakistan, leaving rescue teams scrambling through mud and rubble to reach survivors. Authorities have issued fresh heavy rain alerts, warning of more devastation as vulnerable regions remain at risk.
